Although it’s easy to assume that the F-Pace is essentially a Jaguar-bodied Land Rover, it actually rides on the same modular platform as the aforementioned XE. A third of the F-Pace – including the platform it’s built on – is made out of aluminum, while a composite tailgate and magnesium structural beams further help keep weight in check.
Design-wise, the F-Pace is pure Jaguar. Its front end falls in line with the company’s current design language thanks to styling cues such as a rectangular grille, large air dams integrated into the bumper, and thin, elongated headlights. Out back, the F-Pace’s most striking feature are its tail lamps, which are reminiscent of the ones found on the F-Type sports car. A rakish D-pillar and a roof-mounted spoiler accent the SUV’s sporty overall look.
Every F-Pace comes standard with a tire pressure monitoring system, an alarm, dynamic and stability control systems, as well as front, side, and curtain airbags.
